Using the site

These terms govern your use of Product Launch Day, a daily launch platform for software products. By browsing it, creating an account, launching a product, voting, commenting or booking an ad you agree to them.

What a listing is

A listing describes a product and links to its maker's own website. Product Launch Day does not host, sell or distribute the products and is not responsible for them. Use them at your own judgement.

Your account

Anyone can browse without an account. You need one to launch a product, vote, comment or book an ad. You can sign up with your email address and a password (and confirm the address), or with Google.

One account per person. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for what is done with your account.

Launching a product

Only launch real, working software products. Malware, scams, adult content and anything illegal are not allowed.

You may launch a product only if you own it or are allowed to launch it. By launching you confirm that the listing content (text, logo, screenshots and links) is yours to publish, and you give us the right to show it on the site and in material that promotes the site.

A product can be launched again 90 days after its last launch.

Fair voting

Do not buy, sell or trade votes, vote for your own product, or ask people in bulk to upvote it. Each account can vote once per launch.

The board is ranked by weighted votes. Our fraud rules set how much each vote counts. Paying us never changes votes or rank.

Comments

Comments must be relevant to the product. Spam, abuse and off-topic promotion are not allowed.

Review and decisions

We review launches and may edit a listing for clarity or accuracy, reject it, or unlist it. We use AI to flag listings and comments for review, but a person decides.

If you break these rules we may remove votes, take a product off the board, or close an account.

Free launches and the badge

A free launch requires our badge on the launched site, as a followed link to productlaunchday.com. We check that it is there when you send your launch and every week afterwards. If it is removed, we may unlist the product.

Paid plans and ads

Paid launch plans are one-time payments: Launch ($29), Launch Plus ($59) and Spotlight ($89). Ads are booked by the week. Payments are made through Stripe Checkout.

If we do not approve a paid launch or an ad, the payment is refunded in full. Once a launch has gone live or an ad has run, it is not refundable.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a number of visits or votes, or any result from launching. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is and our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using Product Launch Day at any time and ask us to delete your account and products (see the Privacy Policy). We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with its date. If a change matters for your launches we will tell you by email. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
